Obituaries

Max passed away suddenly on March 17th in Nelson, BC, leaving a big hole in our lives. He was a teacher, artist, social activist, philosopher and unpaid comedian.

He will be greatly missed by his sisters Marilyn (David) Butts of Calgary, JoAnn Shaw of Toronto, Lorraine (Ken) Jack of Lethbridge, Pamela (Dave) Supina of Lethbridge and his nieces, nephews, friends and extended family....

On March 16, 2020, Doreen Zaiss died by Medical Assistance in Dying procedure, in her own home, surrounded by friends and family, and on her own terms after living with incurable gastric cancer for just over one year. She left this earth in song and laughter, held up and embraced and we celebrate her choice and her voice in this passing. Doreen was born April 14, 1945 in San Mateo California...
