Grand Forks Wolves jumped out to a quick 17-4 lead en route to a 40-23 victory over the L.V. Rogers Bombers in West Kootenay High School Junior Girl's Basketball action Monday at the Hangar.
After surrendering the first two points of the game, the Wolves outscored the Bombers 15-2 to take command of the game before halftime.
Claire Broad paced Grand Forks with six points. LVR was led by Andrea Ballester with five points and Stine Ralfs with six. The loss drops the Bomber record to 1-2.
The Bombers take to the road for three straight games starting (Tuesday) February 5th in Trail when LVR faces Crowe Hawks.
LVR concludes the season with games against Salmo (Feb. 13) and Grand Forks (Feb 19th.
Site and date for the West Kootenay Championships has yet to be determined.
In boy's action, the LVR Junior and Senior Bombers game in Grand Forks Monday was postponed due to bus problems.
