Wildcats play host to Kootenay Zone Volleyball Tournament

The road to the BC Championships begins Friday for eight single-A girl’s teams as Mount Sentinel Wildcats prepare to host the Kootenay Zone Tournament Friday and Saturday at Castlegar’s Selkirk College Gymnasium.
Fernie, Elkford, Sparwood, Fernie Academy, Nakusp, Boundary Central of Midway and Salmo join host Wildcats at the zone tournament.
The top team advances to the BC High School A Girl’s Volleyball Championships November 28-30 at Selkirk College Gymnasium in Castlegar and Nelson’s L.V. Rogers Hangar.
Mount Sentinel is slotted into Pool A with Fernie, Elkford and Sparwood while Fernie Academy, Nakusp, Boundary Central and Salmo make up Pool B.
Round robin draw goes Friday, beginning at 2 p.m.
Saturday, teams enter the playoff round phase of the tournament with the final set for 2:30 p.m.
