Trail RCMP are asking for public assistance in locating a man who exposed himself to four children walking home from elementary school Tuesday.

RCMP said in a media release that Tuesday, at 2:57 p.m. the Trail Detachment was advised that four children were walking home from the Webster Elementary School on Laurent Way, in Warfield when they came across a male exposing himself just off to the side of the paved foot path.

Police said the children ran home and told their parents.

“The Trail RCMP Detachment investigated the incident and notified the Webster Elementary School,” the media release said. “Police did not notify the public or parents at this time that they may further investigate.”

Police said on Wednesday RCMP conducted an investigation in the area in an effort to identify and arrest the suspect male; however, the suspect male did not return to the area.

Police said the suspect male was described as:

  • Caucasian
  • between 20 and 30 years
  • 5’11”, dirty looking, and skinny
  • clothes looked baggy
  • he was wearing a black ball cap, black hoodie (or possibly a black t-shirt) and black jeans

Police said the children stated they had not seen the male before around town.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact the Trail Detachment at (250) 364-2566. Police will continue to monitor the area and investigate all leads.
