TNT Theatre presents Chairs: a Parable

@ TNT Playhouse, 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10.

Tickets: $10 students, $15 adults @ Eddy Music

ITSAZOO Productions is taking over stages all over the province with its B.C tour of Chairs: A Parable, a new play by award winning playwright Sebastien Archibald.

Chairs is a savagely funny absurdist comedy chalk full of Archibald’s trademark wit and satirical edge.

Presented by TNT Theatre at the TNT Playhouse, Archibald’s latest and greatest draws inspiration from the theatrical existentialism of Samuel Beckett and serves it up for the sardonic hipster generation.

Chairs follows the trials and tribulations of three men as they attempt to build a civilized existence for themselves in a barren wasteland.

They enjoy a hilariously uneventful life full of equality and boredom until one man steps forward and does the unthinkable … he builds a giant chair.

With his newfound power position he can survey the land, dictate orders, and offer keen insights about the world around them.

But how long can he abuse his authority before the seeds of rebellion are sowed? And what untold horrors lie beyond the wasteland?

Cast and crew

Chairs features a cast and crew of some of the strongest up and coming Canadian artists: • directed by Chelsea Haberlin;
