Team West Kootenay earns bronze at BC Club Volleyball Championships

Team West Kootenay won the bronze medal in the U18 division at BC Club Volleyball Championships this past weekend at the Richmond Oval.
Team West Kootenay, consisting of players from Nelson and Castlegar, defeated CVVC Strikers from Courtney 2-0 (25-13, 29-27) in the Consolation Final to capture the medal.
Team West Kootenay lost in three-sets to Seaside Surf of Surrey/White Rock in Tier I semi-final action.
The West Kootenay-based squad opened the tournament with wins over CVVC Strikers, Cougars Amanda from the Fraser Valley and VVC of Vancouver to advance to the playoff round.
Team West Kootenay advanced to the semi-finals by defeating Squamish Wild 2-0 (25-12, 25-11).
Team West Kootenay, coached by Staci Proctor, consists of Hannah McClure, Emma Lake, Ava Moyle, Abby Ens, Gabby Bobby, Alli Podovelnikoff, Olivia Bezaire, and Sedona Shuel.
