Scholl, Langin claim top honours at Granite Pointe Club Championship Tournament

Jeff Langin fired a five-over-par 149 Sunday to capture the Granite Pointe Club Championship Golf Tournament at the Rosemont course.

Langin, carding an opening round 77 Saturday followed up with an even-par 72 on the final day to edge Rob Little by two strokes.

Harv Goodwin finished third in the Low Gross category in the first flight with a two-day total 156.

A.J. Cooper was fourth at 160 followed by Tony Graci at 163.

Cory Anderson and Fred Thomson finished tied for sixth with Rob Kozlowski eighth and Paul Burkart, Bob Hall and Marc Royer all tied for ninth.

Matt Scholl, who also topped the second flight with a 160 low gross total, won Low Net honours with a 139.6 score.

Mike Wagg finished second to Scholl with John Ferguson third and Sean Boysen fourth.

Shane Alaric, Tim Mushumanski, Pat Siller, Mark Mosdell, Cam McFayden and Ben McFayden rounded out the top ten scores in the second flight.

Al Grant won the Senior flight with a 155 score.

Tom Foxcroft was second with Howie Ridge finishing third, Tim Allen fourth and Peter Muirhead fifth.

Cam Bibby-Fox won the Junior Club Championship with 155 low gross score.
