To the Editor,
Thanks for the recent article in The Nelson Daily.
I am totally opposed to a ski resort in this area. Who wants it exactly? Developers? Government? I don't get it. Is it another way to get Albertans to spend oil money in BC?
A year round ski resort makes no sense to me. People don't have enough of winter by April? I would rather see more communities like Argenta than ski resorts to be honest.
Has anyone actually done any research on global warming expectations in the region? I encourage you to check out a documentary called Extreme Ice. It is a National Geographic film. Saw it at the Banff Mountain Film Festival a few years back. Glaciers are receding so fast how long will there be snow to ski on?
