To The Editor:

I am a person with a physical disability who is writing to voice my displeasure over the new garbage rules.

To The Editor:

I cannot believe the new system that City Hall has instituted now with garbage pick up.

First garbage was included with my taxes and then the city decides to charge as they think that the service is not paying for itself. No proof was ever given of such a monetary loss. Now the new mode is to leave your garbage in a bag by the curb or lane...

Just a wee ask to fix a big wrong.

Twas not long ago Trudeau made clear

To The Editor:

The survey that the government has invited all households to take part in, has been designed to confuse and ultimately dodge the vital issue of fair voting (proportional representation) in Canada.

The postcard invites Canadians to take part in the national "conversation" on...

To The Editor:

Regarding the mayors recent article putting Nelson in the top 10 of North American cities moving into the high speed digital internet world.

Anyone in the technical field knew the city couldn't play in the sandbox with Telus or Shaw.  When I first heard of this I said when the big boys come to town...

Did you replace the batteries in your smoke alarm after changing the clocks back for Daylight Saving Time? With apologies to Saskatchewan residents, who do not adjust their clocks, safety advocates have often repeated this handy mnemonic device as an easy way to remember that batteries in smoke alarms must be replaced twice a year.
