No injuries after vehicle rolls into Cottonwood Creek

No one was injured after a vehicle ended up in Cottonwood Creek Tuesday evening Nelson Fire Rescue said in a media release.

The call came into dispatch at 6:31 p.m. Tuesday that a vehicle had rolled into Cottonwood Creek.

There were no occupants in the vehicle.

“One initial duty member responded immediately to the scene to size up the situation,” Nelson Fire Rescue said.

“It was determined more resources would be required so three additional members were called to the station from home.”

Nelson Fire Rescue met with Nelson Police to obtain information and confirm no one was in the vehicle.

“The first arriving crew’s primary objective was to ensure public safety,” Nelson Fire Rescue said. “The owner was present and it was confirmed that there were no injuries.”

Damage was contained the vehicle. No environmental hazards were apparent.

Nelson Fire Rescue Services would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to ensure parking brakes are engaged when leaving your vehicle.
