City of Nelson Bylaw Officer Fred Thomson has seen a lot during the 31 years of walking the streets of the Heritage City.
A city employee since 1987, Thomson, who retired recently from the Bylaw Enforcement Department, is a familiar and friendly face on the streets of Nelson.
The avid golfer and curler, who represented the province in curling at the Brier and Seniors Championships, has lived through many adventures over the years in his Bylaw job, including a chase of an armed robber.
A loving father, Thomson shares the shares the ups and downs and what these decades of work meant for him with Sarah Lord in the Daily Dose.
Friday, July 30th was the last day on the job for Bylaw Officer Fred Thomson.
