The Kootenay Rhythm Dragons overcame blustery conditions to capture a Bronze Medal at meet held last month in Kelowna.
The Kootenay Rhythm Dragons, thrilled to record times under one minute in each of the three 200-meter heats during the event, unfortunately, had races cut short due to high winds and choppy waters.
“The team was a little disappointed as we had put in lots of training for that distance, particularly the finish, which is our strength,” a team spokesperson said.
“The water was very choppy with the combination of wind and boat traffic in our semi-final heat where the team finished third in the heat and sixth overall out of 12 women's teams.”
Mallard’s Source for sports would like to salute the KRD as Team of the Week.
