Major donation by Leafs to Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation
The Nelson Leafs hockey club continue to be a team player both on and off the ice.
The local hockey franchise has partnered with the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation and their fundraising activities for 13 years through donations made at the Nelson Leafs Recycling Centre located in Railtown.
During a hockey game January 14th at the NDCC Arena against the Castlegar Rebels, the Nelson Leafs were pleased to present the KLHF with a cheque for $8,000 bringing the overall total to $85,000.
Nelson returns to action Friday with a game in Castlegar before hosting North Okanagan Saturday at 7 p.m. in the NDCC Arena.
