Nelson CARES is hosting the fifth annual Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser. The event will take place on Saturday, February 23rd 2019 on the streets of Nelson.

The funds this year will be going toward the ‘Ready for Home’ program. This program is a key component to the work that Nelson CARES does. ‘Ready for Home’ assists Nelson CARES residence with home support, employment training access, hospital shuttles, advocacy… anything that will help those residence stay in the affordable housing units and off the streets.

“This is a great event and makes Nelson a stronger closer knit community which benefits everyone here as a whole” strong words from a strong man.. Lorne Henry Poole.

The event happens this Saturday, but there is still time to help out. Head to the website cnoy.org/nelson and register to walk, donate to a friend’s campaign, sign up to volunteer, or start a team. Nelson CARES would like to invite everyone to join us for this fun family friendly event.
