After her acclaimed debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at age 15, Inna Faliks has performed on many of the world’s great stages, with numerous orchestras, in solo appearances, and with conductors such as Leonard Slatkin and Keith Lockhart.

Her “courage to take risks and expressive intensity which goes beyond her technical perfection” (General Anzeiger, Bonn 2007) had garnered her many prizes in international competitions.

The Washington Post has praised her “poetry and panoramic vision”, and the Baltimore Sun called her “a delight to hear, riveting passion and playfulness.”

She was the first prize winner in the International Pro Musicis Award 2005 , subsequently giving recitals in Carnegie Hall, Paris’s Salle Cortot, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Hall, and many others.

Other prizes include first prizes in Hilton Head International Competition, Grand prize in St. Charles International Competition, MTNA Yamaha, and many others. She has performed in Verbier, Taos, Bargemusic, Brevard, La Gesse and other important music festivals.

In 2009-10, Faliks appears in venues such as Le Poisson Rouge and Weill Hall in NYC, Embassy Series in Washington DC, on radio broadcast recitals in Chicago, NYC, Boston, as guest artist at the Liszt Garrison International Festival in Baltimore, and in solo performances in Germany.

This season she presents solo recitals at venues such as Salle Cortot, Paris, French Alliance Institute Francais, and LACMA’s Music and Art series in LA. Her innovative interdisciplinary series of contemporary poetry and live piano performances Music/Words began in October.

Her CD on MSR Classics with music of Rachmaninoff, Ravel and Boris Pasternak was released in August 09. She is a featured performer at the Streaming Museum, http://www.streamingmuseum.org, a global online multimedia arts space; her performance has been selected by BBC to be showcased across the UK in 17 locations.

Her repertoire spans from the beloved standard works to lesser known music and contemporary music.

Her teachers include Boris Petrushansky at the Accademia Pianistica Inernazionale (Artist Diploma), Gilbert Kalish (Stony Brook University, Doctor of Musical Arts), Leon Fleisher and Ann Schein (Peabody Conservatory, Bachelors and Masters),

She lives in New York City and is on the piano faculty of Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago.
