Glacier Gym Club hosts Judges Cup

Glacier gymnasts are gearing up for the first home event of the 2019 competitive season when the club hosts the annual Judges Cup this weekend at the Civic Centre facility.
Athletes from Trail, Invermere and Castlegar join the host Glacier club at the two-day competition in a variety of categories including artistic gymnastics (Saturday) and trampoline events (Sunday).
This is the second competition of the season for the Glacier Club, having sent athletes to Spokane this past weekend for the FlipFest event.
Others include Selkirk Kootenay Cup in Castlegar, Great West Gymfest in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Key City Classic in Cranbrook and Coconut Cup in Kimberley.
Nelson is also hosting Spring Jump Fest in March and Glacier Invitational in May as well as sending a team to the BC Provincial Championships April 12-14 in Coquitlam.
Saturday schedule is from 8:45 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. and Sunday will run from 9:40 – 11:45 a.m.
The weekend competition is open to the public.
