A public display of artwork created at the recent Trash Art Challenge is being held  this Friday and Saturday at the Passmore Hall in the Slocan Valley.

This all-inclusive art show welcomes youth and adults to test their skills and be inspired by other creative folks.

There will be cash prizes awarded for the art chosen as “people’s choice,” so come out to the show and vote on your favorite piece.

See artwork by our guest artist, Brent Bukowski of Kaslo, whose distinguished works of art have been on display in many major Canadian galleries.

The show starts on Friday, April 29 at 7 p.m.  as an art opening for everyone who has participated, featuring an artist talk by Bukowski.

The following day, Saturday, the display continues until 3 p.m. when the winners will be announced for People’s Choice and Artist’s Choice in both youth and adult categories. All artwork is then taken home.

This event is sponsored by the Slocan Valley Arts Council with assistance from BC Arts Council and the RDCK.
