Sunny skies made for a grand day on Baker Street in Nelson as gardeners flocked to the annual West Kootenay EcoSociety’s Garden Festival.
Local vendors and community groups from the surrounding communities gave the crowds more than enough perennials, annuals, vegetable starts, trees, furniture, flowers - just about everything a gardener needs to get started or add to an already great endeavour.
The Garden Festival kicks off the festival season for the West Kootenay EcoSociety, which also hosts Cottonwood Community Market, Nelson Downtown Local Market and the Friday-night Market Fest events.
Wagons were needed to move some of the product available during Saturday's Garden Festival.
Gardeners always come prepared with baskets to fill.
