Douglas, Langin claim Civic Auto Club Championship

Morven Douglas and Jeff Langin came away with the top prizes at the Civic Auto Repair Club Champion Tournament Sunday at the Granite Pointe at Nelson Golf Course.

Douglas shot an 83 Saturday before closing out Sunday with an 86 to capture the women’s crown with a 36-hole total 169.

Langin opened with a five-under-par 67 Saturday before finishing up with a one-under-par 71 to clinch the men’s crown with a 138 score.

Michelle Palm won the women’s low net title with a 146 score while Bob Hall took the men’s title with a net 133.

Senior men’s winner was Darren Palm with a 150 low gross score while Pat Gelinas topped the low net with an amazing 138 total.
