DiBella continues to turn a few heads

Kootenay Wildcats rearguard Aimee DiBella has another honor to add to the career.

The feisty DiBella was recently chosen runner-up for the Female Midget AAA player of the month for October.

The player-of-the-month award was claimed by Reaghan Chadwick of Fraser Valley Phantom hockey team. Chadwick started the season with 10 goals and eight assists in 11 games.

DiBella finished tied with Cassidy Hendricks of Vancouver Fusion, Bre Frasca of Thompson-Okanagan Rockets and Linda Jensen of Prince George Cougars.

The 5’7”, DiBella currently leads the Wildcats in scoring with seven goals for 10 points.

Earlier this season DiBella was names to the Team B.C. U18 team that is representing the province at the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday, November 20 in Rutland against the Thompson-Okanagan Rockets.

The Female Midget AAA League was started in 2007 give female players the opportunity to play fellow elite players from throughout the province.
