Co-op offering fall harvest options

As the Kettle Valley Food Co-op enters year two of operation, they are "going nuts over beans." September will bring the second bulk ordering opportunity for co-op members.

Bulk items will include a variety of nuts, beans and other high demand food items, these products are not available from local producers and will be organic and of the highest quality. In addition this time we are offering a variety of soaps and detergents. Please contact the KVFC for ordering information.

"The Co-op will soon be peddling for "flour power", we are currently developing a bike powered flour mill; a great way to exercise and take home some fresh ground flour," said David Janzen, co-op director. "Those of you who have not used fresh ground flour in your baking will be in for a real treat. Taste the difference!"

The Kettle Valley Food Co-op's distribution day has changed as well as the location. Members can pick up their food order every Thursday, behind the Sunbean Cafe (close to the RCMP office), just look for the large white tent.

The Co-op remains dedicated to food security by providing wholesome locally-produced food to residents of the Boundary. Janzen expressed their thanks to dedicated volunteers, producers and generous funding partners.
