Bombers sweep past Osoyoos to capture Mount Sentinel Tourney

Another tournament played, and another tournament title for the L.V. Rogers Bombers.
The Bombers, winners of earlier tournaments in Oliver and Mount Sentinel, rolled past Osoyoos 2-0 in the best-of-three final to capture the Mount Sentinel Senior Girls Volleyball Tournament Saturday in South Slocan.
LVR opened the tournament Friday by stopping J. Lloyd Crowe of Trail, Grand Forks and Stanley Humphries of Castlegar in straight games to finish first in Pool C preliminary play.
LVR returns to action November 17 when the school hosts the Kootenay High School AAA Zone Volleyball Championship against J. Lloyd Crowe.
The winner advances to the provincial tournament December 1-3 at George Elliott Secondary in Lake Country.
