Bombers sweep past Kootenay rivals to capture Creston tournament

The L.V. Rogers Bombers tuned up for upcoming zone playdowns later this month by capturing a tournament a Kootenay High School Girls Soccer Tournament over the weekend in Creston.

The Bombers defeated David Thompson of Invermere 1-0, Stanley Humphries of Castlegar 14-0, Nakusp 9-0 and Fernie 4-0 to finish the tournament undefeated.

LVR was paced by the goal scoring of Hannah McClure and Cayenne Carney, each finishing the weekend with four and five goals, respectively.

Ava Anast, Maddie Jewett, Lula Carmichael, Aurora Dool, Taya Short, Halle Martin and Shyla Short also scored for the Bombers.

LVR now travels to Creston to compete in the Kootenay Zone Championships, May 19^th.
