Barroom basic swing dance class

begins Tuesday, April 5, 7 p.m. at The Royal on Baker

Classes will start on time out of respect to all participants and to the Royal.

For the first session please show up at 6:45 p.m. to complete details and be ready to start.

Classes are from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. with one hour from 8-9 p.m. for practice and coaching.

Cost is $50 per person for all four sessions and includes repeating any or all future basic classes at no cost. (forever no cost).

Money back guarantee: If you attend all four classes, are on time and sober, and feel like you didn’t get the value you were expecting, your tuition will be happily refunded.

Instructor Howie Ross has been swing dancing for over 20 years and can teach anyone this dance successfully; if you can walk and count to “one,” he can teach you.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. The Royal has a new wooden dance floor so basically any type of dance shoes or even running shoes will work. Flat bottoms are best.

This dance does not require “style” other than whatever you create as we go. It does not have routines you have to learn and does not have many “rules.” You can “mix and match” any moves we learn or you already know, or moves you make up yourselves.

If you have any questions, please contact Ross at this email address: MrAwganic@aol.com, anytime.

Pre-registration is required. Please call 250-354-7858 or 352-2900, or visit Urban Legends 533 Baker St in Nelson to register.

This is a basic class and singles or couples are welcome. Partners will be provided for singles. If you are an experienced dancer, you will still learn a lot.
