  • Updates to the new Graduation program

“Please slow down and follow speed limits, watching for children walking, cycling and crossing the street. School zone speed limits will be in effect,” Perkins said. “Also, a friendly reminder to yield to school busses and give them the right of way as they merge back into traffic.”

Perkins said the new District website will provide ongoing communication and up to date information for all of our stakeholders. There is also a blog post by Superintendent Perkins.

The Kootenay Lake School District serves approximately 5,400 students and families in communities including Crawford Bay, Creston, Kaslo, Meadow Creek, Nelson, Salmo, Slocan, South Slocan, Winlaw, Wynndel, Yahk and the surrounding rural areas, within a large geographic area consisting of two time zones.
