Two Nelson Youth Soccer graduates are showcasing their talents as members of the University of Lethbridge varsity women's squad.

Defender Erica Augsten and keeper Hanna Quinn have been a key part of the Pronghorns team as the Southern Alberta University competes on the women's university circuit.

Lethbridge has struggled most of the season, but did manage to capture its first win of the regular season by edging Saskatchewan Huskies 2-1.

Augsten was selected the Pronghorns player of the game while Quinn backstopped the Pronghorns to the victory, finishing the game with seven saves to register her first Canada West win.

Following two tough losses to rival University of Calgary this past weekend, Lethbridge — concludes the season with home games against University of Northern BC of Prince George and McEwan University of Edmonton followed by a pair of away games in Edmonton — University of Alberta — and Calgary — Mount Royal University.

Both Augsten, in her fifth season at Lethbridge, and Quinn, in her rookie season, are graduates of Nelson Youth Soccer.

Augsten is a graduate of the Kootenay Soccer Academy while Quinns comes from the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy.
