The City of Nelson wishes to advise the local boating public the boat launch at Lakeside Park will be temporarily closed until further notice for dock replacement.
The City apologizes for any inconvenience this project may cause to local boaters.

The Kootenay Rhythm Dragon Boat Club is rolling out the red carpet on another season of fun on the water.

Seventy-five brave swimmers accomplished more during the Kootenay Hospital Lake Foundation Polar Bear Swim than clearing a head from the night before.
The contingent raised more than $700 for the foundation during the annual New Year's Day ritual.

The Osprey Foundation has been more than a blessing to community groups in Nelson by donating almost $150,000 in 2011.
From a Night at the Opera House to the Blewett Amphitheatre Shade Project to the Summer Youth Mentorship Program, the Osprey Foundation has made it happen.
One of the final grants of 2011 makes the foundation feel particularly warm and furry.
