With the 25th anniversary run just around the corner, the West Kootenay Toy Run is stepping things up a  notch.

For starters it is really a pleasure to be able to offer you all a chance at two raise money for the food-banks, women's shelters and families of the Kootenays.

The Toy run has two beautiful Harley Davidson motorcycles for raffle with only 3000 ticket being sold.

Canada Day is traditionally a day of celebration in Nelson.

Now people attending the annual Canada Day celebrations don't need to find a parking spot, up close and in person, near Lakeside Park after the Nelson & District Credit Union decided to sponsor admission on the Nelson Streetcar on July 1.

Nelsonites can park along the route of the streetcar and hop a free ride.

The 11th annual West Kootenay Walk for ALS on Sunday once again attacted a host of walkers, riders and runners supporting the cause.
