West Kootenay EcoSociety is celebrating our 25th anniversary this fall, and Oso Negro Coffee is helping kick off the celebrations by releasing the EcoSociety Blend this month.

The Kootenay Quilters Guild is hosting a Quilt Show “Sew it Seams” later this month at the Prestige Lakeside Resort.

The event, featuring quilters Caroline Foster and Suzie Holmes, is set for Friday, September 27th and Saturday, September 28th.

There will be quilt displays, challenge quilts, merchant mall and raffle baskets on display.

Cost is $5.

Hundreds of thousands of people will remember this young Canadian’s audacious effort by uniting from coast to coast to coast for the Annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday, September 15.
