WK Roller Derby hosting Spring Break camp

The movers and shakers of the West Kootenay Flat Track Roller Derby League are offering a camp to kids during the upcoming Spring Break holiday.
The cost is $100 for five days of classes. The camp runs March 18-22 from 8:45 a.m. to noon in the old Extra Foods building on Vernon Street in Nelson.
The fee insurances participants until December 31 of this year meaning kids can skate insured at all WKRD open skate functions..
To participate, kids needs full protective gear — helmet,elbow and knee pads, and wrist guards.
Anyone without rollerskates can use rollerblades.
The camp focuses on basic skate instruction — stopping, falling, and turning After that it’s fun and games.
All sorts of shenanigans are being planned. Come skate with us!
