Sweet 16 in Nelson's Best Singer Contest

It’s down to the “Sweet 16” at the Nelson Best Singer Contest set for Thursday at the Capitol Theatre.
Trilby Buck, Alexandra Schlosser, Charlie Pears-Smith, Gabriel Macdonald, Courtney Craig, Juniper, Kirsten Douglas, Christina Killough, Emma Chart, Tyler Isaacs-Dejong, Annabelle Sullivan, Geordi Baah, Sarah Jane-Hicks, Katrina Garbula, Larry Ivanisko, and Brynn Forsey made the grade during the preliminary round in December held at the L.V. Rogers Hangar.
Thursday’s contest at the Capitol Theatre begins at 7:30 p.m.
Each singer performs in front of the judges with the top four qualifying for the next round to sing another song.
The top two singers from the Nelson event advance to the Kootenay Best Singer contest June 1 in Cranbrook against champs from seven other communities.
