SEEDS Nelson is hosting their AGM on Monday, Nov 22nd at 5:30 p.m. at 604 Ward Street (upstairs), with an invite for all members to attend.

COVID protocols will be in place for everyone’s safety and comfort. To update your membership head to www.seedsnelson.org.

Numerous long standing board members are coming to the end of their terms and will be stepping down and thus SEEDS Nelson is determined to recruit some new blood and fresh green-thumbs to the organization. SEEDS Nelson was created in 2012 and had a shared greenhouse space with the City of Nelson parks department until a wind storm in 2016 destroyed the greenhouse.

Up until recently SEEDS Nelson had been working toward erecting a repurposed greenhouse in an underutilized green space.

SEEDS Nelson Board Chair Stephanie Myers states “working with the other board members to move our mission of food security and intergenerational programming has been a fulfilling challenge for the past number of years, we look forward to what some new board members can bring to the organization.”

The organization is in good standing with BC Societies, with a current website, FB & IG accounts. They have positive relationships with their past and present funders. The

organization’s annual fundraising calendar is always a success and used by numerous businesses around town as staff gifts.

SEEDS Nelson looks forward to what the future can hold for the organization with a new rejuvenated board of directors.
