Ride the Dragon a roaring success
Ride the Dragon was a roaring success as novice paddlers took turns in the dragon boat Saturday at Lakeside Park.
Paddlers of all ages took to the lake with Nelson’s Kootenay Rhythm Dragons who gave rides to five happy boatloads of paddlers.
The event was a way for the Kootenay Rhythm Dragons to give a big“Thank You Nelson” for all the community support received for eight years.
The ride was also a way to recruit new members for a second team.
