St. Saviour’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral in Nelson, is a designated Heritage Church located at the corner of Ward & Silica St., just a short walk up from Baker St. Local folks and visitors are invited to “Open Church” — a chance to visit and explore this architecturally interesting sacred space.

The history of the people living in and around Nelson is very much bound up and expressed through the beautiful stained-glass windows depicted in the church.

A detailed colour booklet with historical information and photographs of the unique windows, is available.

It is well known that the church has excellent acoustics, and a local harpist will play music selections this summer.

All are welcome to stop by and relax in the quiet, lofty building with elements of the past, present, and the future.

From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursdays in August 4,11,18 & 25 and September 1st, volunteers will be in attendance to assist with any questions.
