The month of July is quickly coming to an end and that can mean only one thing — Nelson’s Summer Music Festival is back.

Friday (July 27) the West Kootenay EcoSociety invites the public back for Market Fest on Baker Street.

Fans of the event can look forward to more than 100 vendors on two blocks of Baker Street, a food court featuring an eclectic mix of dinner and snack options, a kids tent with giant bubbles along with seven acts on two stages.

As always, the Moving Mosaic Samba band will kick off the event at 6 p.m., and we’ll continue the family-friendly party until 10:30 p.m.

Admission is by suggested donation of $5.

Entertainment includes Erin Thompson Dance company, the Gemma Luna Trio, Tofu Stravinksy, and Jimmy Lewis and Friends on the Royal Stage.

The Nelson and District Credit Union Stage will feature Erica Dee & Paul Landsberg, Rhoneil, and Mountain Station.
