Low cost Community Dental Clinic open for TEETH applications

TEETH Applications for the low-cost Community Dental Clinic are once again, able to be processed safely at Seniors Coordinating Society at 719 Vernon on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to  1 p.m., starting Thursday, October 29th. 

“It has been a busy and challenging time for our local dentists, dental professionals and volunteers navigating CoVid safely for all,” said the Community Dental Clinic statement.

“Special thanks to Dr. Day, Pentecost and their CDA’s, and the many donations of money and supplies for creating and providing the West Kootenay Emergent and Urgent Dental Care Clinic at the Community Dental Clinic during Phase 1 of the pandemic.”

Community Dental Clinic statement said as one of two clinics in Central and Boundary regions able to offer treatment during this time, 250 treatments were able to be done, and an additional 170 plus people were helped by phone with their dental concerns. 

To be approved for low cost dental treatments, applicants should provide proof of income (eligible applicants must have an annual income of $42,000.00 or less) and proof of a minimum three months residency. 

Applications are available in the Lobby of Community First Health Co-op at 518 Lake Street or on line at www.healthco-op.ca., Seniors Coordinating Society office and the Community Dental Clinic at 632 Front Street in the West Arm Plaza.
