Live public reading of 'A Door to be Kicked' Sunday

A live public reading of “A Door to be Kicked” will be presented by astar-studded cast of local actors under the direction of Bessie Wapp on Sunday, May 26th at the UBC Nelson Campus at 266 Baker Street.

There will be two shows at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The readings are being held in the UBC Nelson Campus #1, with level access from the alley.

“A Door to be Kicked” is a new radio play by former Poet Laureate of Canada Fred Wah, adapted from his iconic 1996 book, Diamond Grill.

There are a limited number of $20 advance tickets are available at Otter Books or $25 at the door.

“A Door to be Kicked” is presented by Kootenay Co-op Radio in partnership with Touchstones Nelson. The project has been supported by the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance, the Osprey Community Foundation, the Nelson and District Credit Union, and the Kootenay Co-op store.
