Lions Club, 561 Osprey 561 Squadron Air Cadets set for Christmas Tree Pickup Saturday

The Nelson Lions Club in conjuction with 561 Osprey Squadron Air Cadets are hitting the streets Saturday, January 5, to help the public rid themselves of Christmas Trees.

The annual event raises money for community projects.

For a donation of at least $5, Nelson Lions Club and 561 Osprey Squadron Air Cadets will pick up and chip the trees.

The method is simple.

Place the tree at the front of your property by 9 a.m. Saturday.

Lions Club and Air Cadets will come to the door asking for a minimum $5 donation.

Anyone not at home, simply leave a note on the tree on where the donation can be picked up (mailbox, neighbour etc.).
