Kootenay Mountaineering Club host Chic Scott slideshow

The Kootenay Mountaineering Club is inviting the public to n amazing slide
show next month at the Old Castlegar Theatre in downtown Castlegar.

The show is hosted by well known outdoorsperson Chic Scott.

Scott has skied the great traverses in the Columbia and Rocky Mountains.  He will show slides of trips dating back to the 1930’s and include his recent 2010 trip at age 64.

The show is set for Saturday, April 6 at 7 p.m.

Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door for $5 for all non-KMC members.

The KMC is a non-profit society based in the Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia.

The goal of the club is to promote the development of mountaineering skills,  furthering fellowship in the mountains and advancing the conservation of the natural values of  the mountain environment.

Volunteers organize outdoor activities year round including: hiking, climbing, skiing, and mountain biking trips, week long climbing, skiing and hiking camps, and various courses on basic outdoor skills.
