The event was named on of the “10 Great Places to Get In Tune, Be Outdoors” in 2007 by USA Today.

Five years later, it’s still a great place to kick back and enjoy.

The 2012 Kaslo Jazz Festival is getting close to happening as the annual event begins Friday in the North Kootenay Lake City for three glorious days.

The festival begins Friday with the talented and ever entertaining Taj Mahal Trio and it doesn’t stop there.

The weekend is full of great music, fabulous craft vendors and food vendors.

Saturday is a day full of Jazz, Blues, and Soul and to end the evening Septeto Santiguero will have you dancing on the beach with their sounds of their home of Cuba- Son Cubano, Guaracha, Bolero, Changui Cuba.

Sunday is another day of great music, Latin, Jazz, and to close the weekend Five Alarm Funk is back on our stage to get you moving. Let’s see if that floating stage will get rocked off its mooring.

Tickets are still available for the day, weekend or for just an evening of enjoyment online at www.kaslojazzfest.com and Pack Rat Annie’s in Nelson, Sunnyside Naturals in Kaslo or the Kaslo Jazz Etc Festival office #2-404 Front St, Kaslo.

The number at the main office is 250-353-7548.

Prices for Friday is $45 and Saturday $68 for advance and $75 at the gate. Sunday is $68 for advance $7t at the gate.

All three days in advance is $161.

Evening shows after 7pm Sat/Sun is $40.

Miss a Kaslo Jazz Festival and miss a lot.
