Join the Friends of Kootenay Lake Stewardship Society on May 25, 2023 for an evening of learning, connection, and meaningful discussions around land use impacts to Kootenay Lake.

The Kootenay Lake Summit is a popular annual event that brings community members, environmental professionals, government representatives, First Nations, Industry personnel and other interest groups together to learn about Kootenay Lake, network, and strengthen the community’s collective capacity to steward our watershed.

This year’s event will focus on land use impacts on Kootenay Lake. It features guest speakers, a dinner, and a community discussion for you to voice your concerns and help shape FoKLSS stewardship and education projects for 2024 and 2025.

Admission is $40 which will help support upcoming stewardship and education projects on Kootenay Lake.

The Kootenay Lake Summit is your opportunity to make your voice heard, ask questions, and learn from experts and knowledge keepers about what’s happened, what’s being done, and what we can do to ensure our lake thrives for generations to come.

Special thank you to Nelson & District Credit Union, Columbia Power, Kootenay Savings, Columbia Basin Trust, and the Regional District of Central Kootenay for making this event possible.
