The Hume Hotel stepped up in a Big Way to assist in making the L.V. Rogers Bombers Sr. Girls Volleyball team season a success.

After storms and mudslides knocked out highways into the Lower Mainland in November, site of the 2021 BC High School AAA Girls Volleyball Championships, the Bombers were considering not attending the tournament due to highway access to Vancouver being cut off from the Interior.

However, Sheila, Dave and Ryan Martin at the Hume came to the rescue, offering up a donation to assist in the team flying from Cranbrook to Vancouver to attend the championships held earlier in December.

The Bombers, finishing 13th overall, were very pleased to salute the Hume ownership during a photo outside hotel lobby on Vernon Street.

The Bombers would also like to thank LVR Principal Paul Luck for supporting the team the entire season amid the every-changing travel policies and Safeway for LVR’s warmup jerseys.
