Help Sascha MacMillan represent Canada at the World Sport Stacking Championships

This is a big weekend for 10-year-old Sascha MacMillan.

It’s a weekend that could make or break the dreams of the Slocan Valley Sport Stacking wonder to represent Canada at the 2013 World Sport Stacking Championships in Orlando, Florida.

MacMillan’s entourage will be front and center at the Nelson Leaf bottle depot raising money for the trip to Florida.

Sascha is hosting a bottle drive on Saturday (March 16) at the at 120 Silica Street location behind Nelson Ford.

Bottle donations will be accepted on this date, however anyone that can’t make it can donate to the Sascha MacMillan Sport Stacking Championship account throughout March.

Mountain Valley Station in Slocan is also be accepting donations in Sascha’s name while Liz Babcock and Rebecca Hunter of Cloud Nine Clinic will be offering 20 minute sessions in Thai Foot massage.

Flower Essence consultations is donating the proceeds to Sascha’s trip.

Six other Team Canada members for the trip to Orlando join Sascha.

Sport stacking, which is also known as cup stacking or speed stacking, is an individual and team sport that involves stacking specialized plastic cups in specific sequences.

Participants stack cups in pre-determined sequences, competing against the clock or another player.

Sequences are usually pyramids of three, six, or ten cups.
