'Gotta' go heli-skiing in the West Kootenay this year

If you haven’t you ‘gotta’ this winter and the Powder Highway is the place to get out there. The West Kootenay has 16 cat and nine heli operations.

Here are a few 2012 packages:

Deep powder package

This powder escape will allow you to warm up for two days at Whitewater Ski Resort in Nelson before heading over to Big Red Cats in Rossland for an epic day of cat-skiing. Spend three nights at a hotel of your choice, starting at $617 per person.

The double dare

Combine a day of heli skiing at Selkirk Tangier with a day of skiing at Revelstoke Mountain Resort and get a feel for how big this mountain really is.

Package includes two nights of accommodation at the Nelsen Lodge from only $945 per person.

Selkirk wintervention

This ultimate winter experience includes three days and three nights all-inclusive stay with Selkirk Wilderness Catskiing (near Meadow Creek, north of Nelson), two days of skiing at Whitewater Ski Resort and two nights in Nelson at the Prestige Lakeside Resort (starting at $3,101 per person).
