Five West Kootenay Certified Management Accountants awarded for extraordinary service to the profession

Five local Certified Management Accountants were recently honoured for extraordinary service to the profession during the Certified Management Accountants Society of British Columbia (CMA British Columbia) ceremony at Nelson’s Prestige Lakeside Resort and Convention Centre.

Barry McLean and Bradley Howard of Nelson along with Manon van Tuyl of Kaslo John Lebidoff of Castlegar and Darlene Masuak of Kuskanookis received recognition for extraordinary service to the profession.

“These CMAs are among the pioneers of the establishment of the strategic financial management profession in British Columbia,” said Vinetta Peek, President & CEO of CMA British Columbia. 

“On behalf of the Society, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to them for their ongoing support and dedication.”

McLean and van Tuyl received 25-year recognition while Lebidoff, Masuak and Howards were given 30-year awards.

As part of CMA British Columbia’s Executive Tour this year, the Society will be holding recognition events across British Columbia where pins will be presented to the local CMAs who have been a part of the strategic financial management profession for 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 or 55 years.
