Calling all gardeners.

What better way to celebrate the emergence of spring than a seed sale.  Join us for Seedy Saturday February 23, in the basement of the United Church, located on the corner of Silica St. and Josephine St.

Come down any time between 10 a.m, and 2 p.m. to swap or purchase seeds for your garden and network with other gardening enthusiasts.

Buying or swapping seeds locally helps protect plant diversity and connects you to your local gardening community. Locally saved seeds come from plants thatthrive in our area’s climate and soil.

This Seedy Saturday event is sponsored by Community Food Matters. Entry is by donation. Come enjoy some light refreshments and music.

There are three great workshops being offered, also by donation, in the back room of the venue.

Attend one or attend all three.

·10:15 a.m. Introduction to Natural Beekeeping with Christina Yahn

· 11 a.m. Spring Gardening: What to Plant, When and How to Plant with Christoph Martens

· Noon Backyard Poultry Keeping and Heritage Breeds with Dawn Precious

Tables are first come first serve and registration is recommended.
