Remember the sidewalk bins that facilitated so much mess downtown last summer?
The Bear Smart committee is recruiting sponsors for a solar powered trash compactor garbage bin or a returnable bin for a 3 month summer trial on Columbia Ave.
A successful trial period provides our city an option to budget for purchase of a year round solution to garbage and returnable’s after the Columbia Ave renovation project. Success will be measured by the inability of wildlife to access the garbage and by the lack of garbage on the street.
Sponsors can choose from Rossland Museum historical pictures to wrap the bins and one side will display the sponsor logo.
Please sign up by May 20 for early June delivery.
The rental program for the solar bins is $300.00 per month; rental of the returnable bins are $70.00 per month with a bonus of three months at the cost of two months:
- Monthly value of 3 x garbage bins (@ $300/unit) and 3 x returnable bins (@ $70/unit):
Total $1,110/mo. (+ tax)
- No cost for freight.
