But before, there was a little calm as Tom Thomson of the Nelson Rhythm Ropers has some last minute information for the swimmers.

A sailboat had a bird's eye view from Kootenay Lake.
Members of the Nelson Search and Rescue were on hand just in case of emergency.
Some swimmers took the long walk out of Kootenay Lake.
And believe it or not, time for reflect on just what happened.
