An evening of music for Ukraine presented by Selkirk students, faculty

The shining talents of students and faculty in Selkirk College’s Contemporary Music & Technology Program will burn bright on stage for a semester-end show that is raising money for the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.
A spring tradition, five ensembles will present an eclectic evening of music that includes both original and covers.
A not-to-be-missed event, the bands take the stage The Royal in downtown Nelson on April 14 starting at 9 p.m.
“After a two-year break from being able to play live music, we are all very excited to celebrate by playing for the community,” says Instructor Laura Landsberg. “Playing to raise funds for Ukraine, makes it that much more special.”
Ultra-talented instructors join student ensembles for high energy sets, each with a unique musical focus.
The bands featured on stage will include: The Composers Ensemble, Rock Ensemble, Ensemble Number 9, Vibe Tribe and Alabaster Slim & The Charleston Bangers.
Tickets for the show can be purchased at the door for $10 with students getting in for $5.
All proceeds from the night will go to the Canadian Red Cross’s Ukrainian Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.
