Nelson Police said officers are investigating a break-and-enter theft that has significantly impacted Nelson Search and Rescue.

Nelson Police said the theft occurred sometime between Monday, June 24th at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, June 25th at 9 a.m. in a storage facility at the Nelson City Airport at 91 Lakeside Drive.

Nelson Police said the suspect(s) appeared to have removed the door leading to an area where a significant amount of airport and Search and Rescue equipment was stored.
